Since 1997, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) has been storing natural gas underground in two facilities at Norg and Grijpskerk in the north-eastern Netherlands. The decision was taken to enlarge these underground storage facilities in order to safeguard both gas supplies and buffer capacity. Tasked by NAM, PRO6 managers served on this project to ensure coordination and steering.
Whereas rubbish used to be cast away without a second thought, nowadays we can recover energy by incinerating it. PRO6 managers was closely involved, as a contractor for BAM Energie, in the construction of ReEnergy, a plant in Roosendaal near the Belgian border.
